Flash Tutorial 15 [1251Kb]

Note: The accompanying video shows how to set up the GNX4 and Pro Tracks Plus for hands-free recording, but does not describe the actual hands-free recording functions themselves. This is described starting on page 11 of the flash tutorial, in the section “Using HFR with Pro Tracks Plus.”

Available video formats are Real, Windows Media Video, and QuickTime, and there are two versions of the video — a small-screen, low-resolution “Preview,” and a higher resolution “Broadband” version.

Please download the broadband version, as seeing the setup process can help make the process simpler to understand. However, read the text as well, as it contains some additional detailed information not included in the video.

Important – this tutorial assumes that:
• You have a Windows computer (Pro Tracks Plus is not Mac-compatible) running Windows 2000 or Windows XP
• You have installed the USB drivers following the procedure described in the GNX4 documentation that came with your unit. If you have not yet installed these drivers, you must do so (as well as connect the GNX4 via the supplied USB cable) before the GNX4 can communicate with your computer.
•“DigiTech USB MIDI” drivers have been selected as input and output MIDI devices in Pro Tracks Plus. To do this, go Options > MIDI Devices in Pro Tracks Plus, select “DigiTech USB MIDI” for inputs and outputs, click on “Move Selected Devices to Top” (moves the Output device only), then click on “OK.”
