HANDS-FREE RECORDING WITH THE INTERNAL RECORDER
Flash Tutorial 16
[1203Kb]
In the previous tutorial, we covered
how to do hands-free recording (HFR) with the GNX4 and Pro Tracks Plus.
This tutorial covers HFR for the GNX4’s internal 8-Track Recorder;
but while we’re at it, we’ll also review some of the most
commonly-used recorder functions, like setting levels and choosing sources.
Note: The accompanying video covers the section in this tutorial called
“Hands-Free Recording Setup.” This shows how to set up the
GNX4 for hands-free recording with the internal 8-Track Recorder, but
does not describe the actual hands-free recording functions themselves.
After you’ve finished watching the video, resume this tutorial with
the section titled “Using the Footswitches for Hands-Free Recording.”
Available video formats are Real, Windows Media Video, and QuickTime,
and there are two versions of the video — a small-screen, low-resolution
“Preview,” and a higher resolution “Broadband”
version.
Please download the broadband version, as seeing the setup process can
help make the process simpler to understand. However, read the text as
well when you get a chance, as it contains some additional information
not included in the video.
