Parameter Editing
The real fun with the GNX4 effects begins when you start personalizing and
tweaking presets to create your own signature sound. Tutorial
2
Pedal Power
Your GNX's footpedal is called an "expression pedal" for a reason—it
holds the key to tremendous expressiveness.
Tutorial 3
Catching Inspirations with the GNX4 Recorder
You just got a great idea for a riff, and you don't want to lose
it. Fortunately, once you turn on the GNX4, you're literally just a few
seconds away from capturing that inspiration.
Tutorial 4
The GNX4 Drummer
...tucked away inside the GNX4 is a drummer who knows a variety of stles,
owns eight different drum kits, never misses a beat, and will happily
play along with you for hours on end.
Tutorial 5
Recording- Computer Interface
The GNX4 uses a standard CompactFlash cartridge...the best part is that
when the GNX4 connects to your computer via USB, the CompactFlash cartridge
can show up as another drive on your computer. In other words, because
the CompactFlash is a storage device, your computer treats it the same
as a floppy disk, hard drive, etc.
Tutorial 6
Meet Pro Tracks Plus and USB
While you can use the GNX4 as a stand-alone device for recording, performing,
practicing, and songwriting, you can multiply its talents by connecting
it up to a computer running Windows XP, Windows 2000, or Mac OS X. Let’s
look at how this process works.
Tutorial 7
Making Drum Patterns for the GNX4
The GNX4 has some great drum patterns inside that silver box. But it’s
easy to make your own drum patterns and loops using the Pro Tracks Plus
software, then transfer them from your computer into the GNX4’s
CompactFlash cartridge (see Tutorial #5 on CompactFlash). Once in the
cartridge, and after turning off CF STORE, you can use them for recording,
or as a really hip metronome for practicing.
Tutorial 8
THE GNX4 MP3 Connection
First, let’s get something straight: The GNX4 MP3 function relates
solely to playing back MP3 files stored on its CompactFlash cartridge.
When you record with the GNX4’s recorder, the resulting audio is
always an industry standard, 16-bit, 44.1kHz WAV file...[MORE]

The GNX4 has a pretty amazing mixer inside. It's not obvious, because
